Custom Orthotics
Custom orthotics are prescription shoe inserts designed for the shape and motion of your feet. Unlike a generic insole, they are made from a precise model of your foot to support, cushion and align it the way you need.
Conditions orthotics can help
- Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
- Flat feet
- High arches
- Bunion and forefoot pain
- Tendonitis, including Achilles and posterior tibial tendon problems
Orthotics are often part of a larger treatment plan and can also help prevent problems from coming back.
How they’re made
First, we examine your feet and evaluate how you walk and stand. Then we capture the shape of your feet with a special 3D scanner. Your orthotics are built from that model to match your foot and your prescription. We’ll check the fit when they arrive and make adjustments if needed.
Custom vs. over-the-counter inserts
Store-bought inserts can add cushioning and may help mild symptoms. But they’re made for an average foot, not yours. Custom orthotics are designed to correct how your specific foot functions, and they are typically made from durable materials that last much longer.
